One of the challenges of running a lab with a rotating cast has been establishing consistent use of jargon across projects. This is important, because it helps evolve a cohesive viewpoint within the group, but having a document like this helps with onboarding new people.

We operate under what we call the "Hollywood model", which is to say that we have a small standing group within the lab and bring on domain experts for each project -- an iOS developer, perhaps, or a security auditor -- but we definitely see dividends when we're able to work with the same folks more than once.
