inspiring stuff
I invented a shorthand once, similar to this, but .. wow! this takes it to so many new levels and directions
I wrote a diary in my shorthand, but can't read it now cos I've lost the key and can't remember how it worked

Dscript is an attempt to take a simple alphabetic language and convert it into Chinese. A completely mad project, but amusing to be sure.

This is interesting. Certainly a "weakness" of alphabetic scripts are their inefficient use of character-wise-space compared to logographic ones(see Japanese twitter vs. English twitter) so compensating for that by relaxing the linearity constraint at the word-level is a neat way to get around that. From the description it's not super clear to me if this is a "serious" or a "fun" conlang tho(or maybe that's a false distinction!). The claims in uscript.pdf do seem a bit grandoise tho...
