# two-minute-week

Since this was mostly intro, it was hard to fit into 2 minutes and 40 Meg, especially given the graphical nature! I had a nice script worked up and realised it was 4 minutes long 🙂 Apologies, I'm a complete beginner at video capturing, etc. I missed a few things, but I guess I can gradually work them in as I do more updates....

Ha, 40MB on the nose. Sorry for the artifacts in the video compression! Seems a shame to spend so much time making nice pictures only to compress them down so much 🙂

This looks interesting!

Neat with terminal ui! Have been looking for examples of monospace-unicode-text-based uis. Do you have any more examples like your inline slider? (spent this morning playing with outlines, frames and sheets, u+2500..2600 was nice!)

the end goal is to be able to make an "algorave" all whitin the same application?

@Leonard Pauli I haven't added anything yet; you can see examples of custom UI I've done in the Synth UI at the end of the video. The thing I showed is just a test to check that you can add custom drawing above/below lines; similar approach to the synth controls, which are just IM gui widgets. The idea is that when you declare a parameter in a shader, I can add UI above it. I just haven't got around to it yet 😉 @Mariano Guerra Yes; that's one of the goals; a single-install algorave kit, with Audio and Visual. I want it to be flexible enough to drop in experimental languages for music, etc. But first goal is the ability to make audio with Orca and visuals with shaders. I have also done a work in progress pattern language for music.

Image from a much older version showing the pattern music stuff alongside shaders and the synth view. Hopefully I can integrate all the pieces I have in the next month or so and get an updated version with everything working together. As you can see, this one is running on DX12 instead of OpenGL I showed in the video.

I've been toying with something similar, if I have time I might share a progress video next week (probably won't have time to do it this week)
