Hey there, A friend recommended this community, sounded cool, so I figured I'd give it a whirl. I'm Timon, hacker/founder/cto from the Netherlands. Learned to code on a commodore (iirc), the brother of a friend back then build a bookkeeping system for a game we were playing, and I was hooked. Over the years touched a lot of different languages, companies, and teams. Couple times CTO, did some fractional work, open-source. Both in leadership and in IC worked a lot with giant legacy migrations, and discovered I really liked doing that (I'm weird). A year ago had the idea to start a startup to automate tech debt cleanup with AI and that's still the game. Way back before 1.0 I got really excited by Rust. I wouldn't say I'm dogmatic about it (others probably will), but the language managed to reignite a spark I hadn't felt coding for a long time. But, if you want to talk slightly less nerdy, together with some friends decided our midlife crisis would be WH40k. Or even less nerdy, I'm also a father of three (more nerdy, they love minecraft).
