Hi @Ivan Reese, @Duncan Cragg hinted that I should let you know that as a nonprofit organisation you can get a pro Slack plan for free. One of my organisations Kendraio Foundation MTÜ (an Estonian company) is nonprofit and we got a pro Slack plan for free because we are registered with TechSoup. As I understand it @Maggie Appleton has registered an organisation for FoC, assuming it is nonprofit, then it could be possible for you to get a pro Slack plan for free. See this. Lots of ifs and buts but worth looking at.

Thanks! I didn't know Maggie registered us as a nonprofit. If so, that's awesome. I'll talk to her and see what's going on.

Appears to be free only for 250 or fewer members... Above that, there's an 85% discount. We seem to have 3000+ members here, so it would still be many thousands of USD / month even with the discount (if my math is correct).

OMG! I didn't know there was that limit. We will need to start looking elsewhere too! What a pain. OK. Forget this thread! 🙄😉

Appreciate the thought :)

we could probably prune around 2750 members tbh 😆

Free plans are there to attract customers to be locked in. We all know that, right? Are we locked in already?

Oh just to clarify I have not registered us as a non-profit anywhere. I opened a bank account here in the UK to hold the FoC London community funds which is designed for clubs and community groups. No gov’ts were contacted in the process 👍

ah okay — thanks for the follow-up!
