Anybody know wtf is up with this new Slack "feature"? Every now and then the thread I am trying to look at gets into this state, and nothing seems to get it out.

• Alt-tabbing back to my browser from another window reliably causes this. It happens in a lot more situations, basically if I do anything in the threads view. But only in the threads view.
• Whatever thread is currently on screen gets into this state. Other threads above and below don't.
• Switching channels and switching back gets out of this state.
Still ridiculously frustrating.

Never seen this before, sorry. I wonder if it's being invoked when you press-and-hold some meta key, but it's never receiving the keyup event because the browser is handling that and not dispatching it?

Yeah, something like that. Interestingly, it happens also with ctrl key (like if I select some text and hit ctrl+c to copy. Even when I start with a fresh tab and it has never encountered the alt/meta key before. So, more than one key 🤷🏼
