Hey everyone! I’m Kabir, an undergrad at UC Berkeley. I started my programming journey with Visual Basic and Replit in middle school, and a recent project employing low-code tools led me down the programming environments rabbit hole once again. 😄 I’m currently thinking about (1) ways to extend the spreadsheet paradigm to full-stack development, and (2) the design opportunities that LLMs present for interactive computing. I recently experimented with using a restricted set of primitives in a Jupyter-style interface to build simple web apps. (Demo here.) Found Future of Coding while searching Metaphor for interesting prior work in the live programming space. (Wow, finding this community feels like a belated birthday gift.) Nice to meet you all!

really fun demo, I've long said that notebook coding is way underused
reminds me of some stuff I've seen stephen wolfram do in his demos
btw make sure to cycle out your api keys!
k
@George Mauer thanks! I did cycle them out before posting :))

What was that thing you mentioned in the video where you can just type a description of the function you want and it does it? The block for analyzing the tweets and sending to stable diffusion specifically

Thanks!

Hey Kabir! Would love to chat and exchange some ideas🙂 I’m also working on something that’s related to “ways to extend the spreadsheet paradigm to full-stack development” although with a different approach and end user than you. For my product, the users don’t know a single line of traditional programming and can only use spreadsheets. Also it’s on an endless canvas instead of notebook style.

That sounds pretty cool! Happy to chat

Man...now I'm looking at marvin and feelin' like I'm going to have to spend the whole weekend integrating it into emacs' org mode
