Squeak actually was my main reason for not using Smalltalk, during the period when I believed it was the only option I had. Its generous use of colors creates visual overload for me. It's only when I discovered Pharo with its much more sober look that I explored Smalltalk more seriously. And since then I have been using it more and more.

Squeak was my first "real programming" experience. I absolutely love it, and I'm so happy it continues to exist. Congrats Squeak team! 🎉
