Lovely illustrations and neat writing style. Makes me almost want to stop everything I’m doing and learn about Applied Category Theory, which is an achievement in itself 🙂.

Hah! I'm in the middle of this very book! One thing I'm still having a hard time with, though, is how category theory applies practically to language design. It seems useful as a structuring mechanism, but it's not clear exactly if algorithms fall out of it, or if it's more just for communicating.

@Joshua Horowitz you beat me to the Haoyi essay. It's one of my favorites!
