Is there any statistic out there about activity of communities like this, trying to reform coding, over time? Google trends doesn’t seem to be very helpful.

http://tunes.org/ mailing list possibly? I definitely haven't seen a like master list of various projects to reform computing detailing their rise and demise, that sounds like it would be a super useful resource

Probably going to suffer the same issues as small group research in social psychology: every group calls it something different and pursues slightly different goals so no-one's using the same vocabulary and everyone's rediscovering the same things for thirty years

I wonder if someone like Alan Kay might have any good data just from generations of people asking advice on their r e v o l u t i o n ideas
