I think there is more stuff that can be built with paranthesis parsers. I'm thinking of monoidal parsing / incremental parsing for editor tooling. I could think of a paranthesis and indentation parser as a first stage of parsing, with a traditional parsing filling in the gaps between paranthesis. Using something like this:
