In case it isn’t obvious after listening, I’d be delighted to listen to a follow-up with him specifically about the future of coding… @Ivan Reese

Hmm. I feel like he'd be rather resistant to the notion of talking to us about this. In his talks and streams, he's made it pretty clear that he doesn't have interest or enthusiasm for academic computer science, and our community certainly has the stink of the ivory tower, hah. But I'm excited to listen to this Oxide interview — thanks for sharing it, I would have missed it otherwise.
(He is someone I pay attention to and I have great interest in his work, so there may come a time when I feel ready to ask him to come on the show.. but not just yet.)

Does that matter? He seems to enjoy playing the slightly grouchy iconoclast.

It matters to me — to do a good job interviewing someone who brings an attitude of skepticism (healthy or not), I'll need better interviewing skills than I currently have. So maybe after a year of interviews with folks who are easier for me to talk to, I'll be ready for the bigger asks.
There are a handful of people.. Bret Victor, say.. where I'd love to have them on the show. But I feel like I'd only have one opportunity to interview them. I want to make sure that when I claim that opportunity, I'm able to do a really good job of it.

I hope that makes sense / is relatable.

Yeah absolutely. It would be better to wait until Jai is released anyway

I agree with @Chris Knott. After listening to the interview, I bet Blow may be more than happy to talk about Diamond Dust after it has settled, and I imagine he'll have a few thoughts about the future.
