I find it at least a little amusing that the text editor I have open is currently displaying just over 60 lines of code.

Oh nope, I am pretty programming is barely just symbolic manipulation guy. I just found it amusing that quasi-science (like most of UX anyway) has ideas like that. Also, sweet move in compiling the criticisms in a repo.
