I figure folks here will likely enjoy a light hearted joke I just made about how "reinventing programming" is starting to fall into a few common visual categories: https://twitter.com/RubensSandwich/status/1404112988924170240?s=20

💯 Thankfully, for me, you're missing one (at least one)

Just so we are clear I'm only joking. I actually really the "stack/iOS shortcuts" visual modal and personally think that is the one that will win out in the end.

There are only three pictured? And I don't recognize the one on the right. Is that the stack/iOS shortcuts one? I suspect I'm not getting the joke..

We are doing the one in the middle 🙂
On a serious note, I think whats inside those boxes matters - Its very different to have live values inside those boxes rather than some symbolic abstractions.

@Kartik Agaram The fourth one is
(Not pictured: yelling at people about type systems.)

BTW, I'd be happy to see this on #C5U3SEW6A. Future-approved 👍

Thanks. That landed hard. (And glad that my favorite pet idea isn't pictured.)

@wtaysom Ohhh what one is that?

Oh, just my silly spacial computing idea. Since text is hard to see in VR, what would programming without it (or any symbols) be like? Your main operations are moving through space, changing perspective, and marking a path to which you can then attach spaces, perspective changes, and paths.

@wtaysom could measure quality of codebase by a chance of getting vertigo when understanding piece of logic 😉

One thing that's surprisingly nice about spacial computing is that layouts that look terrible on screen can actually work. Vertigo is best dealt with by making sure that you move objects to change perspective rather than yourself.

Our approach is not pictured either, as we’re rich-text-based!
