# two-minute-week

^ I'm happy to leave this post here, but if anyone reading this is wondering, for future reference, I'm personally of the opinion that we should keep this channel strictly for ~2 minute videos, not just things with a weekly cadence.

For the ๐Ÿงต pedants out there, I'm making this a top-level post because I want to (A) make it visible to all channel visitors and (B) leave room for people to have a conversation about the newsletter and (C) this is technically a meta-level discussion so it's technically a separate topic and should probably go in #CEXED56UR but it's here kinda like a passive aggressive printout in large comic sans in the office break room saying "do your own dishes" except we're all working from home and I'd never, ever be that passive aggressive. <3

Sorry! I thought it was just a 2minute weekly update in any medium. I didnt see anything explaining the rules so thank you for clarifying. I happily took down my post. In #CEXED56UR though I would like to discuss having a Textual weekly update channel. Its cool seeing what people are up to and text is easier to skim than a video, and its nice to have a forum to articulate this week's learnings.

When something gets banned it creates demand. I want to see @Tyler Adams ' post now.

@Tyler Adams โ€”ย A lot of us already have devlogs or post bite-sized progress updates on twitter, and those don't generate much interest or discussion when they're shared here. If you feel like you can put a neat spin on the format, I encourage you to start sharing your weekly posts in #C5T9GPWFL and encouraging others to do the same. If interest picks up, then I'd be happy to spin up a new channel. As for the two-minute-week rules, they are linked under the channel listing on our website, and linked directly from the channel description in Slack. It'd be nice to find a way to make them more easily discoverable, so ideas are welcome.

I'm new here so I don't know anybody's twitter or devlogs. I think the neat spin is discoverability. Having a central channel here allows me, and other newbies, to better discover new Future of Coding's interesting ideas. I'll post my next update next week in #C5T9GPWFL. @Duncan Cragg Check in next week on #C5T9GPWFL :)

Ahhh, there's a weekly newsletter, that's perfect, no need for anybody to spam general in that case

The newsletter is collected from the things posted to #general and a few other channels.
