Hot news! Slack now allow you to make the thread panel bigger than the main column! I'm typing right now on a scrunched main column looking at a thread that's over 50% of the screen! Is there no end to the innovation pouring out of Slack HQ??

Works in the desktop app too, fwiw.

Good god! What will they think of next! 😏
i
They'll think of the ability to move posts. Right, slack? You'll think of that? Please?

Thread resizing has worked for me for quite some time; maybe that's because I always use the desktop app. @Ivan Reese I was thinking this morning that the killer feature would be to move a post to a thread; to force people to stick to the rule of building threads. So I guess you are thinking the same thing.

↑ it's worked for some time, but you couldn't drag the bar beyond the point the main column would be smaller than the thread

Well... that (sidebar larger than main column) has been working for me for about a month*.* 🤷

I think it went in two stages, firstly they conceded to allow any expansion, with the divider now being moveable, and I announced that important development in this channel, then they allowed full expansion so here I am again, your intrepid innovation correspondent..

Wow, my life is forever changed.

I'm probably a bit late but I just discovered that - when you expand the slider very much over to the left, the nav panel disappears! I'm speechless with admiration for the UX Department at Slack HQ.
