APL Idea dump thread

what if APL notation could be played with a piano/chorded keyboard
it's striking that there is so little visualization packaging, afaik, for APL repls. Even a simple SVD or PCA to show intermediate operations seems pertinent, though I don't work with matrices at that level often
APL is great because it's concrete when you want it to be -- like Josh Horowitz's PANE, you can thread concrete data through (an identity matrix?) and see what happens
the aesthetic motivation for all this ^ is performative matrices, i want to play the music of the matrices
also some of max bittkers stuff

oh also the little symbols need to float around on a big ass projector as you "play" them
currently trying to find a toki pona fanart i vibed with

i’ve often said my ideal metric for software experiences is how much better they get if you put them to music

seriously though just animating things like matrix transposition or whatever would be a huge aid to doing linear algebra interactively
especially if you nailed the “do the operation to the thing you’ve selected” interface

idk what this depicting but i like the floaty symbols (a toki pona writing system)
some sorta homestuck reference
I wonder if there are researchers' APL "sessions" / "notebooks" in their exploratory form available on the internet
