Hi everyone! I am Gleb, by day an engineer at Coda, by night working on my chrome extension ampie.app which shows twitter & HN discussions for the page you are on (written in Clojure and Clojurescript, the extension is open-source). In the past I was pursuing a PhD in theoretical CS at Columbia but dropped out a year ago. In the past couple of months I have been thinking about creating a new programming language together with an environment, but my thoughts on it are very rough and it seems like a daunting project. I have been aware of the FoC community probably for a year or two now, decided to get more involved to see what people are working on and also post my own ideas/explorations at some point. Excited to be here! Also, you can find me in NYC and on twitter, that's where I usually hang out: @posobin.

Hi Gleb! Welcome! Have you come across Linus Lee (thesephist.com)? He's working on a new programming language / environment called Oak. He's really approachable. Maybe a collab possibility there? Ampie looks really cool! It reminds me of @Geoffrey Littā€™s https://twemex.app/.
Oh, and I'm glad you're working on Chrome extensions: https://twitter.com/jessmartin/status/1461354831394705418

I have come across Linus but haven't reached out to him!
Yeah, definitely in the similar vein as twemex.
Linus is too productive it's scary.

Have spoken to Linus a few times and y'all are definitely running along similar thought paths. Probably useful to sync up.
hahahaha I know
@Gleb Posobin where would you like me to leave feedback for ampie?

There's a feedback box at the bottom of the sidebar.
It will go directly to my email inbox šŸ™‚
