but I think we need: - introductions - feedback for/on your project - discussion of foc/fop - may need to be split into techie and non-techie focused? - off-topic - not allowed to mention programming!!

I agree with @Ivan Reese, that sometimes it is easier to post something to #C5U3SEW6A, when you are uncertain if it is relevant-enough to be shared to people on #C5T9GPWFL. Also, perhaps we should thread the discussions to keep the channels easier to follow?

Unfortunately, it appears that the Slack Android app does not present an option to create threads ("reply to"). I can add to threads that are already present, though

@Dan Cook Can you tap a message (without a thread) and that brings you to a view where you can start a thread? That's how it works on iOS and it's not really intuitive either.

@Stefan A menu comes up if I long-press a message, but it has no option to reply or start a thread
d
select the message, hit "Start a thread" at the bottom

I see no such option. Can you give me a screenshot?

It's not a long tap on a message, it's just a regular tap. And it has to be on a message in a main channel, not a message in a thread.

Ok, now I see it! I don't know why that was so elusive. Maybe I was trying it on messages that are niether of those. Thanks!
