@Bill Seitz you maintain a wiki notebook. What do you think of Zettelkästen? https://blog.jethro.dev/posts/how_to_take_smart_notes_org https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=22341518#22342278
Never mind, found your exo-brain on the subject 😛 http://webseitz.fluxent.com/wiki/Zettelkasten

Haven't read the SmartNotes book, only a few summaries. I'm always pondering the appropriate granularity of nodes. Roam's model seems to give best of both worlds, though I probably won't move.

Hi Bill, your public wiki looks a bit like my private markdown git repository, at least in some places
I really like the idea of a open shared interlinked knowledge space. But I'm not sure (anymore?) wiki's serve this prupose well. Since last year I'm starting to get into the zettelkasten method. One aspect which is important with zettelkasten is the relations between the zettel. I guess Luhman kept a kind of representation of the numbers - which do represent the relations - in his head
I think this is where computers could really help. Visualize the relations in a fluent manner, because as a system grows there needs to be methods of how to deal with the rising complexity in displaying information
I see you did some nice experimentation's on viz: https://twitter.com/BillSeitz/status/1014146058023309314

hm yeah it seems quite a bit unsable, thats the thing with re-using existing diagram types I think you coem too fast to the point where you say : this is not what I want want but I also can not extend it ..
Its not an easy topic
statebox is also doing some interesting things, I need to checkout when I have time
