Perhaps less the future of code; but nevertheless. I've been building a tool that allows you to prompt queries to OpenStreetMap; which might open up the OpenStreetMap database to less tech-sevy users. Maps might be relevant for FOC since they are highly relational and inherently spatial (and often visual). What I especially liked was 'the hover to explore data mess' type of interactions, see GIF; since it quickly and visually lets you figure out the consistencies and inconsistencies between different tags. Would also be interesting to think about how to make spatial queries more visual.
