Hi everyone, I’m David 👋
I’m a Swiss interaction developer with a strong focus on creative tooling, color, and generative systems. My background spans (frontend) programming, UI/UX, and generative art — especially where these intersect with visual design. These days, I spend a lot of time thinking about how interfaces can better reflect the messy, nonlinear way humans think and work.
Some of my recent-ish work:
-
Poline — a library for generative color ramp creation
-
RampenSau — an other tool for exploring color ramps
-
Gradient Book with Rik Oostenbroek — a collaboration for Paris Photo 2024, exploring code-based gradient manipulation
I found FoC through
@Florian Schulz and joined to connect with others exploring alternative paths in computing — especially where creativity, expressiveness, and play intersect with code.
Currently, I’m working on a descriptive design language for color — a way to create semantic and functional links between colors. Kind of a missing bridge between generative color systems and real-world design use.
Looking forward to learning from you all!
