I haven't planned a new meetup yet (sorry 😊, my own personal planning got in the way). Although I posted some dates in the thread below Ivan's post about our last meetup (which was very cool!) Unfortunately I don't see a February meetup happening, so I want to aim for the end of March. Either wednesday 26nd of March at 18:00UTC or saturday 29nd March at a time thats focused on the USA/canada. So I've got some questions for you (please answer in the thread): 1) which day and time of the above do you prefer? And if you're on the USA/Canada side of the world: which time would be suitable for the saturday meetup 2) Who would like to present their project?
i
My preference is the Wednesday. I've got a conflict on the Saturday.
m
Same for me, my preference is also Wednesday
m
Wednesday +1
k
+1 for Wednesday, and I propose a presentation!
m
That's awesome @Konrad Hinsen !
m
I can present my progress on gloodata if it fits
m
Yes, it fits!! Now we just need one more 😀
I can present/demo something as well: the new Open Canvas Interchange Format which I am helping developing together with other members of the open canvas working group (our goal is to establish interoperability between different infinite canvas tools).
Since no one favored the Saturday, I am going ahead with scheduling the Wednesday meetup at 18:00UTC .. I'll create a follow-up post later this week with a lu.ma link
@Konrad Hinsen whats the topic of your presentation? (I want to make a small agenda for the meetup on lu.ma and here on slack with all the presentations/demos mentioned)
k
I will be demoing a prototype framework for explainable computations. A kind of hybrid between literate programming and explorable explanations. Focusing on data science and software documentation.

I can present my work on smallweb, a self-hostable live-programming environment (similar to replit or val.town). I'm interested in malleable/hackable software, so I built smallweb to be extensible from the inside. See the live demo at https://demo.smallweb.live. You'll be able to edit it from vscode, which is itself hosted from the live demo. Smallweb is also focused on interop, and plays well with existing tools like ssh, git or sops.

Sorry we're full this upcoming meetup (we do 3 presentations per meetup). But I put you on the schedule for the next one in april if that's ok
a
yeah that works for me too 🙂
