Hi, on wednesday 22th jan 2025 (16:00 UTC) we will have our first online meetup of 2025 and we will continue in the same format with short live demo's and presentations from our community .. the meetup is also on https://lu.ma/vxjq0rbj .. if anyone wants to give a demo about their project or give a short talk then please let us know here in the thread of this message 😀
Just a reminder... 22th jan 2025 we have our first online meetup for 2025.. who wants to present or demo something ? Please let us know in the comments

I am working on something (a new variant of literate programming) that I'd like to show at some point, but I doubt it will be sufficiently advanced until Jan 22. If it is, I might become a last-minute volunteer (which I know organizers hate!)
m
If there's still place the 22nd and you are ready to show us something then that's no problem 😀

I'd be interested in sharing some of my recent work on a visual programming environment for scientific computing :)
m
That would be awesome! You're familiar with our 15m "chess clock talk" format ?
j
No, I haven't made it to any meetups recently
m
The chess clock talks are 15min total per demo/presentation but split into 7.5min for presenter and 7.5min for questions. The clock for the presenter is stopped when a question is asked and continues when the question is answered.. this continues until the 15min are over
I have found 2 of other members who want to present as well, so it looks like we're full again 😅 .
For our upcoming meetup I've asked @andrew blinn and @Christopher Shank if they want to present their projects, and both agreed! So we've got a full online house again 😀 ! I am looking forward to it!
