05/12/2023, 1:40 PMI have tried Descript (I tried it at work). My impression was that it's very good, but it felt quite buggy. It wasn't long after their re-launch so I'd like to give it another go at some point! :)
For my own videos, I do want something very edit-y and powerful, so Resolve seems like a good fit so far! It would be overkill for some projects for sure

05/12/2023, 3:08 PMI've also tried Descript, both when it first launched and again about a year ago. Both times I found it slow and buggy, but worse I found it unable to produce a good result using any of the automatic tools, and using the more manual tools was significantly clunkier than just using traditional pro editing software (like Final Cut/Resolve or Live/Logic).
