A wormhole is a speculative structure connecting disparate points in spacetime, and is based on a special solution of the Einstein field equations.

It's commonly assumed that the distance between the ends of a wormhole is much greater outside than inside. Wormholes might someday let us see or travel to otherwise inaccessible places far across the universe, or even beyond it, without the need for faster-than-light travel. But the opposite might also be true. Every wormhole might be scrunched and twisty, like the intestines of space itself. You must wriggle your way through the wormhole, and in so doing travel much further inside than the crow flies out. Crows eat worms, after all.

Why talk about wormholes at all? This is a programming community.

I can't tell when I'm writing this from. The timestamp on this post says it's Tuesday the 11th of October, 2022. But this episode in my Hest podcast feed says Sunday the 16th? And listening to the episode, there's... a wormhole, and then there's Ivan and Jimmy talking about Hest? What's happening?

I don't think I've mentioned this before (since?), but my goodness, wormholes are loud! Like, when you're going through one. I've only done this once(?), but my ears are still ringing. It's this crashing, whooshing wave of noise. This wall of force. It hits you, and then everything is gone. You come out somewhere else, but you don't know where, or when. You look around, but there's nothing to see. It's all dark. There's just sound.

I heard one today, off in the distance. A wormhole. Then Jimmy said something about the beach? Beached things? I have a vague memory of Iv… of myself, talking about blood and the beach on the Hest podcast. But I can't find that episode. Maybe it's not out yet. Ha — maybe it's not even recorded yet. I guess I'll see.

Very confused. But wormholes for tools of thought I like. Non euclidean space, with structured data graphs of foc logic and thoughts. Anyhow. Why are you... almost... third person talking about yourself @Ivan Reese ? Suspicious...
