what is the simples way(s) (minimizing accidental complexity) to spin up a basic website with a form behind authentication that triggers a serverless function on submission (supplying auth context, so I can be sure in the function about the identity of the user) ?

I have a simple, yet annoying validation problem. Can any of you think of a language/framework that makes validating the following sort of schema as clear (or clearer) than the English language specification? Suppose we have a playhouse with a bunch of rooms. In each room, we want there to be a box, a ball or two, and no other toys. If there are two balls, one should be red and the other should be blue. Report all the rooms that have the wrong toys and exactly what's wrong.

does anyone know of any browser extensions that add functionality to the console specifically? stuff like console.table or the little outlines you get when you log an object (not in a new pane unless you’re cloning the repl)

I'm thinking about building a client side web app environment that blocks network access and focuses on end user controlled storage. Anyone have prior examples of something similar or just general thoughts on the idea?

Anyone have a favourite alternative to Electron if I just want to write vanilla JS (not TypeScript, not React), and preferably style with actual CSS stylesheets (not inline styles, not CSS-in-JS)? Primary deploy target is Mac OS, though Windows support would be very useful.

We haven’t had one of these text-vs.-visual kind of debates in a while, and I think we’re long overdue. This is a great piece of writing that looks at why UNIX in particular is so deeply rooted in text — and it puts forward a surprisingly untechnical theory (yes, of course, the UNIX pipe / composition argument makes an appearance too): http://theody.net/elements.html

Does anyone know of a good community to learn about DSL/SDK design with FSharp? It doesn't have to be a community only about FSharp or only about DSL design.

Is there such a thing as a Slack-like chat service but where rather than text-based, exchanges are sketch and doodle based? I can imagine such a thing combined with a tablet+pen.
